Jon Barry and Tony John of Scanprobe have successfully reached the Summit of Kilimanjaro, the tallest free standing Mountain in the world at just under 20000 ft.

Jon Barry decided to climb the mountain for the Alzheimer’s charity after his father Mike was diagnosed with this terrible disease.

The trek began at the base of the Mountain and as they climbed towards the summit and camped on the way up they encountered rain forests, desserts, rocky regions, snow and glaciers.

Jon said 'it was one of the most amazing experiences, the thought of the generosity of our sponsors helped us get to the top, I have another challenge up my sleeve for next year, so watch this space.'

To date, Jon and Tony have raised in excess
of £6000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
